Love love LOVE that window! I had to stand behind the front door while my husband took this photo because the wind kept blowing it open! |
Creepy basement shot. It's interesting how they suspend the framing so that they can pour the concrete. |
Super creepy basement shot. I refused to go down there. My husband was on his own! - I hope my PM isn't reading this ;) |
Basement stairs were installed! Duh! How else do you think he got down there? :) |
Hall shower was put in place. No tile for me! I HATE tile! |
I can see where the tray ceiling is! |
Goodies in the study! |
Plumber holes |
More plumber holes. How is one of them perfectly round and the other one is all crazy? |
Outdoor shot of the morning room door :) I was hiding on the other side. |
Standard picture of the back of the house! Yay for shingles! |
CMM, your house is looking Fabulous!!!! Love the window, too!
ReplyDeleteWe are getting the same window in our Jefferson...That window is going to look so cool from inside the foyer
ReplyDeleteThe shingles look great-can't wait to get a roof on ours! So...your basement hasn't been poured yet for concrete? I guess it doesn't really matter because they just pump it in, so it really could be after framing. I know what you mean about tile-we have it in the master, but I am jumping for joy that the other bathrooms don't have it (I HATE cleaning the grout!).
ReplyDeleteFor some reason they pour the concrete in the basement and garage after framing. My PM says it's all based on when they can get the concrete guys scheduled.
DeleteHoly cow - big day for you! And busy day for the crew, too. I love seeing the outline of the tray ceiling - very cool!!!
ReplyDeleteI am quite surprised there isn't a photo posted of you hugging the window (pre-install, of course). ;) It surely is a beauty, as is the rest of the house.
ReplyDeleteThe basement pictures are pretty cool. Thomas wasn't hiding in a corner on any of these, was he??
Trust me, I would have if I could have! When the materials were delivered, the window was stuck behind the front door. Then when they spread everything out, they put it in our basement. I couldn't get down there! Maybe I will get on a ladder and hug it? :)
DeleteHe may have been hiding down there...I was too afraid to go down there! My husband was on his own!
I have never seen them pour the basement floors after the house has been framed. I am not a fan of sliding glass doors either. Looking good!
ReplyDeleteOur basement and garage were poured after our house was under roof also. It was strange going into the basement that still had a gravel floor and seeing the framing suspended from the ceiling. We all went down, but the kids didn't like it!
ReplyDeleteI love your window as well. It's beautiful! I'm sure I've said before, but we went through a resale Yorkshire before we built and one of the things that drew me to the house was the beautiful facade with that great window. Lookin' good!
I do love the window! That's one thing I liked about Elevation B in the Jefferson. But, Elevation C won out for other reasons - too bad my window now won't be so giant!
ReplyDeleteWOW HUGE!! First thing that comes to mind is... how the hell do ya wash it! You should buy a Trampoline!
ReplyDeleteThat would be interesting, ha ha! I've seriously considered hiring a cleaning service.
DeleteThat window is bad-a$$ :)
ReplyDeleteLove that window, awesome.
ReplyDeleteWow...VERY NICE!!! Look at those windows in the back!!!
